Air Conditioning For Hotels

It is important that hotels offer controlled and comfortable temperatures. A comfortable hotel, which provides the right temperature will improve its appeal and be more likely to retain customers, encourage future visits and also receive more recommendations.

GalxC staff will discuss the layout of air conditioning systems, pipe work and drainage with hotel owners to choose the best system for each hotel. We will provide you with a reliable, high quality and robust system with lots of different control options.

All areas of hotels need to provide comfortable temperatures, through the most appropriate air conditioning. Hotels must be careful to resolve any issues with "hot spots" in the building, such as in the kitchen and service counter areas as well as cold areas such as hotel foyers. Display lighting, high-tech equipment and catering equipment, as well as body heat from people, all produce high volumes of unwanted heat through the year; extending beyond the summer months. It is this that air conditioning can address for hotel owners and managers.

Hotels that avoid being too hot or too cold reduce staff fatigue and therefore enable staff to provide greater efficiency over a more sustained period, leading to better customer service.

Customers expect to enjoy a relaxing experience whether they are using hotels for an overnight stay prior to, or after, a business event but especially if they are using the hotel for a leisure break, regardless of the duration. Hotel customers need to experience the right atmosphere to enjoy all the treatments and services that hotels have to offer.

Bedrooms

Hotel Guests’ requirements for their room temperature can vary enormously, especially if they are from different overseas country and used to different “normal” temperatures.

When choosing air conditioning for hotel rooms the ability to control the individual room temperatures is important, especially with larger hotels. Larger units that have the option to turn off air conditioning, should a room be unoccupied, will usually provide energy saving costs for the hotel. The controllers and units we provide, give you a higher level of control, providing energy saving and therefore a reduction in running costs and energy bills whilst catering for your guests comfort.

We provide a variety of units that can work by interfacing with a key card system and with window contact but we also supply units that can work without a key card system.

Traffic noise and security issues mean that some hotels prefer bedroom windows to be kept shut, so air conditioning becomes essential for hotels to provide a comfortable environment in such rooms. Even in hotel rooms with windows that can be opened guests like to be able to have a room that has been made comfortable with air conditioning. We will supply controllers which can be adjusted, depending on the outside temperature and whether the windows are open. This means that the air conditioning can be switched off and controlled centrally when a window is opened, saving the hotel money.

Our range of units will enable hotels to have accurate control over their air conditioning. We will supply controllers that work in conjunction with a key card system installed in each bedroom: when the room is occupied, the controller will switch on and reset the air conditioning to a predetermined setting (for instance 21ºC); when the room is unoccupied, the controllers will monitor the temperature in the room so that if the temperature is too low or too high, the controller restarts the unit. We can pre-set timers so that the air conditioning goes off for a period of time during the night when guests are asleep and do not require cooling, such as three in the morning.

We give you the choice of units and controllers, so you can run your hotel how you want to rather than having to compromise for an air conditioning system. You decide how you want your hotel run and what you want from the air conditioning system to save you money and our engineers will advise you about the best system to meet your requirements.

Salons/Beauty Treatments

The air quality and temperature in salons and beauty treatment areas can be maintained through air conditioning, which includes the installation of the appropriate air purifying equipment.

GalxC has a range of units that can provide air conditioners that control the temperature, odours and humidity of a room.

Customers obtain maximum benefits from their treatments in an air conditioned room, with a comfortable temperature, as they will feel more relaxed and not preoccupied with feeling too hot or cold nor worrying about the smell of too many products.

Stock will also have a longer shelf life if kept at a constant temperature and not subject to wild temperature and humidity fluctuations.

Restaurants

air conditioning for hotel restaurantsThe atmosphere of a restaurant is crucial to attracting and retaining customers. In a restaurant, comfortable customers enjoy their dining experience more than those that feel too cold or too hot.

GalxC has a range of air conditioning units, including one with superior ventilation capabilities, that ensures fresh air and therefore provides a pleasant environment for guests at all times.

When people meet to eat and drink, the environment can become hot and stuffy, regardless of seasonal influences, owing to body heat alone. In a 100-seater restaurant, with cooked food and lots of body heat, an excessive amount of heat will easily be generated and so an air conditioner becomes vital.

Customers that feel uncomfortable may leave as soon as they have finished their meal, rather than lingering over a coffee and are unlikely to return in the future. However, a restaurant with a comfortable temperature means that the customer is more likely to return and they will consider the quality of the food and service in a more favourable light.

In the restaurant and hotel trade image is vitally important. The air needs to feel fresh and clean. Units supplied by GalxC utilise heat recovery technology, this means they supply fresh outdoor air with a minimal change to indoor temperature, which saves on energy costs.

People expect restaurants to be clean as well as providing a comfortable temperature. No matter how clean a restaurant may look, odours may linger in the air regardless of hygiene and cleaning standards. Stale air especially those associated with cooking and odours from diners and staff can give the wrong impression of a dirty restaurant, tarnishing the restaurant's image.

It is also important that the air conditioning units do not ruin the atmosphere of the restaurant for diners. We can provide you with units that operate very quietly, so that people enjoying their meals can chat to each other without competing with an air conditioning unit.

Restaurants must also solve the issue of "hot spots", which are found in the kitchen and service counter areas and also cold areas near doors or steps to cellars. We offer a large range of units as we know the sizes and layouts of restaurants can vary considerably. We want to help you to select the unit that will work best for your restaurant, neither being over or under powered. The air quality and temperature in restaurants, pubs and clubs can be maintained when the right air conditioning is properly installed and serviced by a company such as GalxC.
